A SPACE TO BE YOURSELF
Welcome. I’m glad
you’re here.
Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything you’re supposed to do, yet something still doesn’t feel right?
Maybe you’re juggling a demanding career, family responsibilities, and the needs of everyone around you, leaving little time for yourself. Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, emotionally exhausted, burned out, or disconnected from the people you love. You might be carrying painful experiences from your past, struggling in your relationships, or simply feeling stuck without fully understanding why.
Sometimes life looks perfectly fine on the outside, while inside, we feel overwhelmed, numb, or unsure of who we are anymore.
If any of this sounds familiar, I want you to know that you don’t have to figure everything out on your own.
Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage. My goal is to make that step feel a little easier by offering a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, valued, and supported—without having to pretend that everything is okay.
A little about me
I’m Anna, a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Coral Sage Counseling.
I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Manhattan University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Art from Queens College.
My professional experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in private practice, school-based mental health settings, and crisis intervention. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for how our relationships, childhood experiences, environment, and life circumstances shape our emotional well-being.
I’ve worked with people navigating trauma, anxiety, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and some of life’s most challenging transitions.
One thing I’ve learned is that healing rarely follows a straight line. Every person comes into therapy with a different story, different strengths, and different needs.
That’s why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
I take time to understand who you are, what you’ve experienced, and what matters most to you. Together, we work toward changes that feel meaningful and sustainable in your everyday life.
My philosophy:
healing the whole person
I believe that our mental, emotional, and physical well-being are deeply interconnected.
Stress and trauma don’t always show up as obvious emotional pain. Sometimes they appear as constant worry, perfectionism, difficulty relaxing, relationship conflict, physical tension, emotional numbness, or the feeling that you’re always in survival mode.
You may understand intellectually why you feel a certain way, yet still struggle to change how you react, relate to others, or experience yourself.
My approach to therapy is holistic, integrative, and personalized.
I combine evidence-based psychotherapy with mindfulness, somatic techniques, and creative approaches to address not only what you’re experiencing, but also the patterns and experiences that may be contributing to your distress.
My therapeutic approaches include:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help process distressing experiences and trauma.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills to strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and relationship skills.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy to improve communication, rebuild connection, and navigate relationship challenges.
- Creative and Art-Based Techniques to encourage creative expression, emotional awareness, and self-exploration.
- Play Therapy Techniques to help children express feelings and work through difficult experiences in developmentally appropriate ways.
- Mindfulness and Somatic Approaches to strengthen emotional awareness and the connection between mind and body.
- Polyvagal Theory and Attachment-Based Approaches to understand nervous system patterns and relationship dynamics that keep you stuck.
Explore the therapy approaches
I believe therapy can be both practical and deeply transformative. Sometimes we need tools to manage daily stress, improve communication, or cope with anxiety. Other times, we need the space to explore deeper emotional wounds, long-standing patterns, and the experiences that have shaped who we are.
Both are important.

A multicultural and
creative perspective
Having a multicultural background has shaped the way I understand people, relationships, and the world around us.
My knowledge of multiple languages—including English, Polish, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, and Italian—has deepened my appreciation for the ways culture, family values, identity, and life experiences influence our emotional lives.
My background in both psychology and art also informs my therapeutic approach. I believe creativity can offer a powerful avenue for self-expression, particularly when emotions are difficult to put into words.
For some clients, traditional talk therapy feels natural. Others may benefit from incorporating creative expression, mindfulness, or greater awareness of the mind-body connection.
There is no single right way to heal.
What you can expect
when working with me
I know that reaching out to a therapist can feel intimidating, particularly if you’re used to being independent, caring for others, or keeping your struggles to yourself.
You may worry about being judged, misunderstood, or pressured to talk about experiences you’re not ready to share.
My priority is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel respected, supported, and genuinely understood.
Our work together is collaborative. You won’t be expected to have all the answers or move faster than feels comfortable.
Depending on your needs, we may focus on understanding patterns in your relationships, processing painful memories, managing anxiety, developing emotional regulation skills, or navigating important life decisions.
I value warmth, authenticity, compassion, and a little humor when appropriate. Therapy can involve difficult conversations, but it can also create space for insight, relief, self-discovery, and hope.
My goal isn’t to tell you who you should be. It’s to help you feel more connected to yourself, recognize your strengths, and make choices that reflect the life you want to create.

WHEN YOU’RE READY
Your journey
starts here.
I believe healing isn’t about becoming a completely different person or erasing what you’ve been through.
It’s about understanding your experiences, finding compassion for yourself, letting go of patterns that no longer serve you, and making room for healthier relationships, greater confidence, and a more meaningful life.
You deserve more than simply getting through each day.
You deserve to feel connected, supported, and at peace with yourself.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Wherever you are in your journey, I’m here to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
I would be honored to be part of your journey toward healing and growth.
Love. Breathe. Heal.
