A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Answers to help you feel more comfortable starting therapy in Westchester County and throughout New York State.

Something else on your mind?

Ask us
What if I’ve never been to therapy?

That’s completely okay! Starting therapy for the first time can feel intimidating, especially if you’re unsure what to expect or where to begin. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. My goal is to create a warm, comfortable, and nonjudgmental space where you can share your experiences at your own pace. We’ll take the time to get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy, and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together.

Do I need to choose a therapy approach first?

Not at all! You don’t need to know the difference between EMDR, CBT, DBT, or any other therapeutic approach before reaching out. That’s part of what I’m here to help you with. My approach is holistic and personalized, meaning we’ll explore your needs, preferences, and goals together to determine what may work best for you. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and your treatment can evolve as you grow and your needs change.

Can I reach out on behalf of my child?

Absolutely! Parents and caregivers are welcome to reach out if they’re concerned about their child’s emotional well-being, behavior, anxiety, relationships, or difficulties at home or school. I work with children and adolescents using age-appropriate approaches, including creative expression, art, and play-based techniques. We’ll begin by discussing your concerns and determining how to best support your child while respecting their developmental needs, privacy, and appropriate consent requirements.

What will we talk about before an appointment?

Before scheduling your first session, we’ll have an opportunity to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any questions you may have. We can also review scheduling, fees, insurance, and what to expect from the therapeutic process. This initial conversation helps us determine whether my services are a good fit for your needs. You don’t have to share your entire story during this conversation—just enough for us to decide on the next steps.

What are the fees and insurance options?

I offer private-pay psychotherapy and accept select insurance plans through Headway. Fees may vary depending on the type and length of the session, and insurance coverage depends on your individual plan and benefits.

Before beginning therapy, we’ll review the applicable fees, payment options, and insurance information so you can make an informed decision. If you’re planning to use insurance, your eligibility and estimated out-of-pocket costs should be verified before your first appointment.

Where do sessions take place?

Coral Sage Counseling currently offers secure, confidential telehealth sessions for clients located throughout New York State, including Westchester County, New York City, and surrounding communities.

Online therapy allows you to receive personalized support from the comfort and privacy of your home or another appropriate location, without the additional stress of commuting. You’ll need a reliable internet connection and a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable speaking openly.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. You can reach out through the contact form on my website to introduce yourself, share a little about what brings you to therapy, and ask any questions you may have.

We’ll discuss your needs, availability, and whether we’re a good fit. If you decide to move forward, I’ll guide you through the next steps, including scheduling your first appointment and completing any necessary paperwork.

You’re also welcome to email, call, or text us directly.

Taking the first step toward healing takes courage, and you don’t have to do it alone. I look forward to connecting with you.
